How SocialDesk uses TikTok developer capabilities
SocialDesk uses TikTok Login Kit to authorize a TikTok account and uses the TikTok Content Posting API for eligible video handoff to TikTok's inbox posting flow. The desktop app prepares the campaign, validates the public video URL, schedules or reviews the post, and sends the video through the approved API flow when configured.
- Login Kit is used to obtain and refresh the user's TikTok authorization token.
- Content Posting API is used for video handoff where TikTok permits inbox posting.
- Captions remain visible in SocialDesk and can be copied for manual completion when the TikTok flow requires it.
- The local app records TikTok handoff status, manual completion, skipped posts, and publish history.
Supported Channels
SocialDesk supports Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, Threads profiles, TikTok video handoff, YouTube upload setup, and manual posting destinations where platform APIs are limited.
Data Handling
SocialDesk is designed as a self-hosted desktop tool. Scheduled posts, OAuth tokens, media references, snippets, and history are stored by the local desktop app, not by this public website.
